About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Is a mainland china visa valid for Hainan?

I plan to travel to Bejing and then to Hainan with an Indian passport. I plan to apply for a regular Business visa but it says mainland China only. Is Hainan part of "mainland China"?

Yes, Hainan is part of the mainland China in the same way as it is Shanghai or Beijing. You are perfectly allowed to use your visa to travel from Beijing to Hainan and to stay there. You are fine with your travel plan.
