About:First Time China

Do we qualify for the 144 hour transit card?

We are booked with Imagine for a stay/cruise holiday to China and cruise to Japan.
We are flying from London via Abu Dhabi and will arrive at Beijing International Airport. We will be staying at a hotel in Beijing for 3 nights; a hotel in Xian for 2 nights and then fly to Shanghai for a one night stay before leaving Shangai on a cruise to Japan.
Imagine are unable to advise us if we require a visa or if the 144 hour transit card could be applicable.
Can you help us please?

You definitely need a tourist (L) visa. 144 hours doesn’t apply when you have multiple stops in China like your itinerary.
