About:China Visa on Arrival

I am Australian would like to visit Xiamen for 3-4 days I previously had a visa issued for a trip last year
can I get a visa on arrival at Xiamen airport?

No, unfortunately Xiamen VOA, although you can read about it here and there, is a relic of the past. It is nonexistent.

If you intend to bypass a visa, maybe you could think about introducing Taiwan into your itinerary. You can create an itinerary that will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. For example:

Australia - Taiwan - Xiamen - Australia
