There are separate booths that are clearly marked "visa on arrival" at immigration halls. You will need to fill out a form and pay MOP/HK$ 100 in cash (they also accept other currencies). Legal requirements include: proof of funds of MOP/HK$ 5,000 in cash; proof of accomodations for your entire stay, and a return ticket (or your outbound ticket from HK). Once that's done you will be given a slip which you must keep while in Macau since they do not stamp passports.
Keep in mind that visa on arrival is at the discretion of the immigration officer.

Proof of funds can also be in other currencies (USD, Euro or Chinese Yuan).
