About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Traveling from Toronto to Delhi and return from Delhi to Toronto via Beijing for less than 120 hours

and returning from Beijing to Toronto via Shanghai (transit 2 hours). We have Canadian passports . Do we quality under 144 hours visa free ?

Your route isn't clear. If you mean you will fly Delhi-Beijing-Shanghai-Toronto then you do not qualify for 144 hours visa-free. Only 24 hours in China is permitted without a visa.
