About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

de-facto partner

I have been in a de-facto relationship with my Chinese partner for at least 10yrs. I own an apartment and have given half to my partner. I travel to China on a visitor's visa twice a year and each visit is of either 3 or 4 months. During that time I have made many friends who can vouch for my honesty and integrity. I have never been in paid work but have been invited to schools to talk to students. Do I qualify for a residency permit?

I'm afraid not. You have to get a marriage certificate.
