About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Stop-over in Guangzhou

Hi, I'm French citizen, I already booked my flight China Southern Paris - Guangzhou (stopover of few hours) - Sanya.

Can I enjoy the Hainan 30 day free visa access?

No, unfortunately, you cannot. The main rule of both Hainan 30 day visa free access and Hainan VOA is that you have to arrive at Hainan from outside of mainland China. In other words a flight that will bring you to Hainan has to be from a country different than mainland China.

If you can, you could change your flight itinerary and if you cannot do that because of the nature of your tickets or the price, you are advised to obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance.
