About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From India

I am traveling from Canada to India via shanghai. I have almost 30 hours layover in shanghai. As I am from India, I am not eligible for 72 hour visa. Should I just apply for tourist visa for one day or Am I able to get 24 hours via for free upon arrival?

You must get a visa in advance, either tourist (L) or transit (G). Or else change your flight so that the connection is less than 24 hours.
