About:First Time China

Arriving Tokyo, then crusing to stop 2 nights on board in Shanghai.

If we're staying overnight in Shanghai when the ship docks and we chose NOT to take one of the ship's excursions, do we need any sort of visa? We will be departing on the same ship we arrived on.

Bob, we really need your itinerary to be able to offer you a correct and reliable answer. We don't need your entire itinerary, but very precisely, your port of call, immediately before and immediately after Shanghai. When you supply us with these data, we will be able to answer very precisely.

Japan. I believe we qualify for 144 hour exemption in the Shanghai area.
