About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa transit in Pekin

I will be traveling to South Korea in June and I will be making a stop in Pekin for 16 hours. Do I qualify for the 24 hours free Visa transit?

As long as your flight is not S. Korea - China - S. Korea, you're eligible for the 24h twov.

Great, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. If you want to exit the airport in Beijing and visit some of the attractions, you are advised to book a simple accommodation or a tour to be granted a temporary entry permit. You can apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter even without the mentioned bookings, but you can never be certain that you will be granted a permit to exit the airport in that case.
