About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

Can we use both the Shanghai 144 hour visa and 15 days free visa on our cruise?

We will be arriving in SH from Canada and boarding HA. We will be going to Japan and Taiwan, Hong Kong before returning to Shanghai and starting a second 2 week cruise going to Tianjin, Dalian, Nagasaki and flying out of Tokyo.
Can we use both 144 hour visa free to fly into Shanghai and board HA? Can we use 15 day visa free on the second leg of our cruise when we return in Shanghai to start our second 2 weeks of this cruise?

As long as your flight to Shanghai doesn't travel through a japanese airport the first transit qualifies for 144 hour visa free (its a visa waiver and not a visa)
The second trip I'm not sure since you are starting on a new cruise.

Indeed, this is a specific situation. Maybe you could be eligible, but since you will need an agency support because you will have to book a trip through an agency for Shanghai, I advise you to contact this agency (Travel China Guide) and hopefully, they will be able to offer you a reliable and correct answer.
