About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Seoul -> Guangzhou -> HK

Hello

If I am taking a flight to Guangzhou airport and take a train to HK to take a flight from HKIA, can I still get 144 hour free transit visa?
If it is possible, do I need to buy my train ticket in advance to show my train ticket as my departure ticket?

Thanks,

You must have a confirmed onward ticket in your hand when you check in for your flight to China. High speed rail is not eligible.

You can take the train from Guangzhou East to HK Hung Hom, this one is eligible for the twov.
Or you can take the ferry from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.

For both ways you need a confirmation with your name on it, to check in at Seoul airport.

If you choose the train, you need an agency.
If you choose the ferry, you can book it directly at the company and they'll send you a confirmation with your name on it, that you can print out.
