Applying a Z visa as a foreigner in another country

I have a residence permit in a country. I want to apply a z visa. For the criminal record, do I have to get it from my country of origin or from the country I currently live in?

Carl, it depends on how long you have stayed in the country. If you have stayed over there for more than five years, you can get the criminal record from this country. If not, you may need a criminal record from this country as well as a criminal record from your home country.
