About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

We are travelling to Hainan from Ireland.

We have Chinese visas. Do we have to register in local travel agencies?

No, you don't. Having a visa is enough to travel to Hainan agency free.

Since Hainan is part of mainland China and it has the same status as other usual Chinese provinces, you really need just a valid passport wit a visa and nothing else. As I have already mentioned in one of previous similar questions/answers, when a foreigner that has a valid visa travels to Hainan, it is 100% the same thing as if he/she goes from Shanghai to Xi'an. So, you just need a valid passport with your visa and that's it.
