About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Malaysian passport holder with us green card.

Can I leave shanghai airport without a visa if my transit is 12 hours

Unfortunately, Malaysian citizens are not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme at the time being because of undisclosed reasons. You will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance to be allowed to board the plane and to make your journey through China.
