About:Visa on Arrival

Shekou port

can we still get the 5 days visa from Shekou port ? some website say no more only Louhou port.
I am arriving Hong Kong via cruise terminal and thiking may be it's earier to take the ferry over to Shenzhen instaed of train to Louhou. but many people said shekou port wil not process the visa on arrival any more. so just want to double check.

Is the cruise terminal also the same area of the ferry to Shekou port?

At the time being, Shekou port is still processing VOAs, but one should be aware of the opening time of the visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 17:00. As you can see, a good planning is essential because outside of the mentioned hours, it is really impossible to apply and obtain a VOA.

We would appreciate your feedback if something has changed or if everything is as usual, of course. I say this because it is obvious that the Chinese authorities are slowly curbing the VOAs in favor of visa free transit schemes. For example, although still written here on the website as still existent, Xiamen VOA does not exist any more.

Yes, it is. Anyway, you have to be aware that the area of the entire complex of the piers and the building(s) is quite large.
