About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am travelling MEL-SHA-HKG-MEL

All of my flights are non-stop but am staying 4 nights Shanghai and 3 nights Hong Kong, is the 144 transit visa still valid for this itinerary?

Yes, it definitely is. Your stay in Hong Kong after you have departed from Shanghai is of no interest to the Chinese immigration any more because Hong Kong has separate immigration policy.

By the way, this is not "144 transit visa", but 144 hour visa free transit. Simply speaking, there is no visa at all because your entire journey will be without a visa.
