About:Visa on Arrival

What are my options?

Hi, I'm a Macau Citizen holding a Portguese Passport with no China visa.
I have been invited to participate in an event in Xiamen but meeting point is in Shenzhen.

Question is, once I arrive in Shenzhen, I'll be receiving a 5-Day VOA Visa. How can I, from there, head to Xiamen?

Edu, the only option for you is a Chinese visa obtained in advance. You can do it at the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in Macau or even better through CVASC in Hong Kong.

The explanation is very simple. You are, indeed, eligible for 5 day Shenzhen VOA, but the problem is in the fact that you can travel on that visa only to Hong Kong, Macau or any third country on direct (nonstop) flight, but you are not allowed to proceed to any other place within mainland China. So, you should apply and obtain a full Chinese visa in advance.
