About:10-year China Visa

If I need to stay longer than my Visa allow, what are my options?

I have a Q2 visa and it is still valid. The visa allows 120 days stay in China. If I plan to stay longer, can I make a short visit to HongKong, return back to China with a new 120 days stay?
