About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

arriving in Shanghai 2-29-20 for a cruise. Will go directly from airport to ship using ship transpo

Do we need to have a chinese visa to go from Shanghai airport directly to the cruise ship in Shanghai. We will return to USA 2 weeks later from Hong Kong airport.

Maureen, if the immediate ports before and after Shanghai are different and not in China, you can enjoy the 144h visa-free transit in Shanghai.
