About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get 144hrs visa upon arrival?

I am travelling from London to Beijing on 20 Dec with Swiss airlines and from Beijing to Bangkok on the 23 Dec with Thai airlines.Will I be able to get 144 hrs visa at Beijing airport? Will I be able to bord from London without a visa?
Please help?

There is no visa on arrival. You will be eligible for 144 hours transit without visa if your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries. This is not a visa. Please note that if you refer to "visa on arrival" when you are in London you may be denied boarding because there is no such thing. Always refer to "transit without visa".
