Reapplying for a Chinese Business Visa

I accidentally overstayed a business visa (My first business visa) recently thinking it was 90 days, but instead it was a 60 day. I had to go to the local Entry & Exit office to sort out my problem and pay money for each day. They gave me a bunch of documents proving i took care of the issue. Things seemed pretty okay here locally in terms of how everything was handled. However I want to know if i fly out of China now and go to Macau, would they be able to grant me another business visa there knowing these details? Or would i have to go back to the US for a better chance to reapply? I'm American and Ive been to China many times over the years without any visa issues. Before this business visa i was on a work visa

James, it's hard to say whether this overstaying will have any negative impact on your further application. You will never know it before you apply for a new China visa.
