I am travelling to Shenzhen from Germany and then going to Macau a couple of days later.Can I apply for the transit free-visa and return the same way using the same permit (Macau-Shenzhen-Frankfurt)?Thank you very much!

Only one-way travel to Macau is allowed and you must have a confirmed ferry ticket for the airline to board you at Frankfurt. When coming back to Shenzhen you need to first travel from Macau to HK, then get a 5-day visa on arrival for Shenzhen (fees vary by nationality) at Luohu or Shekou before flying out. This is all assuming that Shenzhen is your only stop in Mainland China, and if it is not then you won't be eligible for transit without a visa.
