Jozef, formally, the transit (G) visa would be required for your itinerary because you will have a layover longer than 2 hours. In reality, your layover will be from 07:50 until 12:45. Anyway, recent practice presented by Chinese immigration in Urumqi clearly indicates that they have waved this strict requirement and they are gladly offering 24 hour visa free transit. Here, on this site, if you click on the link below, titled: "More Questions & Answers" and currently on the third page under the title: "Transit in Urumqi and Guangzhou", you can read a recent first hand experienced by travelers using Urumqi airport for more than 2 hours. Especially is interesting an experience by Indonesian gentleman Feisal who had a transit from one to another flight in Urumqi in the similar way as you do.
As you can see, after those very recent first hand experiences, you can be more than confident that you don't need any kind of visa. You will just declare at check-in in Vienna that you will travel to Langkawi, Malaysia via China using 24 hours visa free transit. Shortly after, you will be allowed to board the plane and start your travel toward Langkawi.
If you don't mind, I would ask you to just return here and write a few words of experience after your successful arrival in Langkawi :)
