Shanghai onto Hong Kong

Hi, we will fly into Shanghai from Ireland on Uk passports on 14th sept next year, we then leave on the 16th to fly to Hong Kong then leave HK on the 19th to fly to Tokyo. Will we qualify for the visa free transit or do we need tourist visas? Thank you for your help
