About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA on Chengdu

I can apply for VOA at Chengdu airport (Hungarian passport) if I leave China (Chengdu) to the same city from where I come?
Bangkok - Chengdu - Bangkok

No, you are not allowed to do that. First of all, there is no VOA in Chengdu. The second detail is, you are not even eligible for visa free transit because there is no third country within your itinerary.

I suggest you to introduce Hong Kong with your itinerary and you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Exactly like this:

Bangkok - Chengdu - Hong Kong - Bangkok

You will be eligible to visit Chengdu and its surrounding absolutely visa free.

Now when you know, it's up to you to decide.
