Marta, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and your travel company don't need any kind of visa.
You will print out your flight tickets keeping in mind that a long, 14 digit number is visible. You will take those printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in Nur-Sultan that you will travel to Japan via Beijing using 24 hour visa free transit. You will present your flight tickets and shortly after, you will be allowed to board the plane.
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will approach 24 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit. This permit will be granted to you without any doubt and you will be able to collect your luggage and perform a recheck for your flight to Japan.
Beside the mentioned, you really don't need anything else. Please, just use correct terminology because it is not a transit visa, but 24 hour visa free transit, so a travel without a visa. This temporary entry permit that you will be granted in Beijing is also not a visa, but just a permit to enter China in order to be able to continue your transit to a third country.
Just don't worry because this option is used by literally hundreds of thousands every year.
