About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

proof of residence

hi, do i need proof of where i stay in order to be able receive the 144 free-transit visa in Shanghai? i sleep at a friend's place that studies there, so i do not really have an official proof.

You don't need proof, just the address. And you and your friend must go to the police station responsible for the building where your friend stays to register within 24 hours.
