Police Verification

Does all foreigners/tourists need to register themselves at the Police Station within 24hours upon arrival regardless what visa they are holding? We will be staying with Airbnb and the host will not be submitting any documents to the police, hence I think we would need to do it ourselves. Can I know where is the nearest Police Station at the Pudong Airport?
