I am an Iranian citizen residing in Toronto area in Canada. Do I have to apply for a transit visa on my way from Thailand to Toronto where I have 2-3 hrs transit in Hong Kong? What is the quickest way to apply for a Hong Kong transit visa from here?

Yes, you need to apply for a transit visa for HK. The quickest way is to directly send your application documents to the HK Immigration Department. It takes about one month though. I advise you to contact the Chinese consulate in Toronto to see if they can directly issue a HK transit visa for u before sending the documents.
