About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting from a different airport

Hi, i am a malaysian and will be travelling from Singapore to Shanghai pudong international airport. My connecting flight will be at a different airport - Shanghai hongqiao international airport to Seoul. May i check if the 24-hour visa-free transit will be applicable for this?

Unfortunately, the recent practice by Chinese immigration authorities strongly indicates that Malaysian citizens are not eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. To be allowed to travel on the mentioned route, you should definitely obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance.
