Cost of China temporary stay permit ?

I'm travelling with my friend from from Kolkata,India to Sydney,Australia in Jan 2020 having a layover of around 15 hours in Kunming airposrt, hence will stay for less than 24 hours in Kunming. This qualifies us for the FREE 24 hour TWOV (Transit WithOut Visa). As I don't want to stay inside the Kunming airport but roam around the city, so I'll need to get a Temporary Stay Permit from the Immigration Counter upon arrival. What are the documents that's required for appying the same and is it free else how much is the cost for availing the same (single person/two persons) ? Also how much time does it take , I mean is there always a long queue where we would need to stand for availing the permit ? Thanks in advance

Dear, you can enjoy the 24h visa-free transit in Kunming. As your layover is relatively long, it's very possible for you to be allowed to leave the airport by applying for a temporary stay permit. It's free and you can apply for it by showing your passport, application form, and onward flight ticket. It only takes a few minutes to get it.
