About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72HRS VISA or 144hours

I will be travelling from Germany to Shanghai on the 29th Dec to the 3rd Jan. Can i apply for 144 HOURS Visa or 72HOURS.

Melia if your itinerary is:

Germany - Shanghai - X country (different from both Germany and mainland China)

Is perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.

Anyway, if you plan to travel:

Germany - Shanghai - Germany

Then you need a Chinese tourist (L) visa obtained in advance.

By the way, 72 hours visa free transit has been replaced in Shanghai by 144 hour visa free transit a couple of years ago. So, now there is only 144 hour TWOV. Also, this is not a visa, but visa free (without visa) transit.
