About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

I am on a cruise that stops for 1 day at Xiamen and Haikou. Do I need a visitors' or transit visa?

At each stop the ship arrives in the morning and departs in the evening of the same day.
I will be sightseeing during the day.
I hold an Australian passport.
