I am an Australian student on an X2 Visa needing to extend to M visa
I am here in China on an X2 visa (I am on a semester-long exchange). I have been offered a position for an unpaid internship here in China. I have already received by email the invitation letter from the company. If I want to extend the visa without having to leave the country how do I apply within China? Also, I am currently in Jiangsu province, and the internship will take place in Guangdong province. Does that mean that the visa extension needs to be done in the province where I will be conducting my unpaid internship?.
