About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

5 days free Visa for Dongguan and Shenzhen

I will arrive at Hongkong airport
Take Ferry to Fuyoung and will be picked up by friend
Going to CHANGAN / Dongguan and visit some friends in the Donguan Area and shenzhen area
Is this possible with a 5 or 6 days free Visa ?

Actually, to be able to apply for a Shenzhen VOA, you will have to take a ferry to Shenzhen Shekou port because Fuyong port is not issuing Shenzhen VOA any more. Also, when taking a ferry directly from Hong Kong airport, you have to be aware of the opening hours of Shenzhen Shekou visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 17:00. If your flight arrives outside of the mentioned opening hours, you will have to proceed by bus and then by train to Lo Wu / Luhou border crossing.

By the way, you have to know that you are not allowed to travel and stay in Dongguan and Chang'an on this visa. This visa is strictly territory limited to the boundaries of Shenzhen city.

To be able to travel to Dongguan and Chang'an, you could rely on 144 hour visa free transit. Anyway, to be allowed to do that, you will have to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by a direct flight and after 144 hours, take a ferry from Shenzhen to Macau and then return back to Hong Kong. This option allows you to travel throughout Guangdong province legally.
