About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From HK to Ningbo(4 days), Shanghai to Stockholm

Hello,
I'm planning after I finish my trip in HK (6th of December), to travel to China for an education conference in Ningbo. I heard that Ningbo will have the 144 hrs visa implemented on the 1st of December, will that still be true?

If so, can I land in Ningbo, then after 4 days I travel to Sweden from Shanghai airport?

Thank you for your time.
/John

This is true. Starting from December 1, Ningbo airport will be an eligible port for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Shanghai area. In other words, you are perfectly allowed to have an itinerary:

Hong Kong - Ningbo - Shanghai - Sweden

You should print out your flight tickets and those printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in Hong Kong that you will fly to Sweden via Shanghai transit area using 144 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection of your flight tickets, you will be allowed to board the plane.

Upon your arrival in Ningbo, you will approach 144 hour visa free transit where you will fill out a blue form. Shortly after, you will get a sticker in your passport and be allowed to exit the airport.

After your stay in Ningbo, you are perfectly allowed to go to Shanghai airport for your flight to Sweden.
