About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

New Zealand passport holder travelling Delhi - Guangzao (64 Hours stay) - Brisbane

Hi
I am a New Zealand passport holder/citizen travelling "Delhi-Guangzao (64 Hours stay)-Brisbane" while returning to my home city of Brisbane.

Looking at the info provided in other answers, I should be able to take advantage of visa free transit in GuangZau. I should be able to get 'visa free transit' provided I have hotel booking in Guangzau.

Do I need to inform the airline specifically about these plans.

Please confirm.

You are right that you can make use of the visa-free transit in Guangzhou. When you board the plane, you need to inform the airline of your plans so that they will allow you to get on the plane.
