About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit at a city which not on the list , can I still eligible for 144 hours visa free?

I am flying from Sydney to Tianjin, but transit at a city which might not on the 144 hour visa free list. Can I still be eligible for 144 hours visa free ?

What is your complete itinerary?
You need to be in transit to a third country and can only travel thorough a single China transit zone. Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province are a single Zone. If you need to land somewhere else in china to get to that Zone you need a visa.
