What type of visa to be applied for if I want to reach China first and then search for jobs there.

Hello,
I am an Indian Graduate and searching for jobs in Beijing. But as I have mostly been told to first reach China and then search for jobs, what type of visa should I apply for? Is it even possible? My partner will soon be shifting to Beijing as an employee. Please help.!

Kohli, if you want to reach China first and then search for jobs there, you have to apply for a tourist visa first and then convert to a work visa after you get a job in China. However, it's not assured that you will sucessfully get this work visa without leaving China. Therefore, I would advise you to get a job first and then apply for a work visa directly in your country.
