Visa for tranist

We are travelling from Australia to Russia and have 2 stops in China. Is a visa required for this? I am hearing conflicting reports so would like to be sure. I am sure the total time in China is less than 1 day. Thanks

Paul, in your case, you can enjoy the 24-hour visa-free transit so visa is not required.
