About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Can I get a visa for mainland China at Haikou, China - Haikou Meilan International Airport [HAK]

I would normally fly into Hong Kong and apply for a visa at the Chinese consulate there, but with the resent unrest in HK, I would like to avoid the city

Tom, you cannot get a normal visa at Haikou. Considering your case, you can try to apply for it in Macau or Bangkok.
