Use a Thai Passport for The Tourist Visa (L)

Hello,
I have dual citizenships, Thai and U.S. citizenships, as I get married to an American. I have both U.S. and Thai passports. My husband and I have planned to visited China. We live in U.S.A. and have to apply for the tourist visa (L) in Chicago.
Can I use my Thai passport to apply for the tourist visa as it is much cheaper ($30)?
Thank you!

Dear, if you apply for China visa in the US, I'm afraid you have to use the US passport.
