About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Houston - Beijing (7 Hour layover) - Tokyo (3 days) - Beijing (3 days) - Seoul (3 Days)

I will be traveling to Tokyo on a flight with a 7 hour layover in Beijing that we are wanting to go into the city for lunch. We will be in Beijing on our trip 3 days later. Can I use the same 144 hour visa? Or am I able to apply for a second 144 hour visa within the same week?

"144 hours visa" doesn't exist. You won't need, or obtain, any kind of visa. Your first arrival at Beijing will be covered by 24 hours transit without visa. It is not guaranteed that you will be given a temporary entry permit to leave the airport on a 7 hour connection. Your second arrival will qualify for 144 hours transit without visa. This is assuming you have listed all your stops, and your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries.
