About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

British Passport Holder

Hi,

I am a British Passport holder and I have a flight arriving in to Shanghai and leaving within 24 hours to arrive in Guangzhou then leaving again within 144 hours via train to Hong Kong.

Will I be able to get a 24 hour transit visa in Shanghai as I am going to another region?

I had a look at this website: http://ee.china-embassy.org/eng/tzygg/t1460983.htm

Thanks for your reply in advance.

Sam

You need a visa or different flights. Two stops in China automatically limits you to 24 hours transit without visa in China.
