As you have Japan residency, you can apply for visa there. The required documents vary according to your travel purpose. If you travel for sightseeing purpose, the required documents include your passport, application form and recent photo, residence visa in Japan, and round-trip ticket and hotel bookings. If you are a first-time applicant, it's possible that you will be required to submit the work certificate and bank certificate. You can contact the CVASC in Japan for details.
