About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour visa free - Singapore - Guangzhou - Macau

Hello, I’m a Canadian citizen. I’ll be flying from Singapore to Guangzhou and then I would like to go to Macau.

What kind of train ticket would I need to qualify for the 144 hour visa free transit? I can only find train tickets from Guangzhou to Zhuhai, but that is still on the Mainland China side of the border. Thanks.

Actually, you have just one option.

Before your travel to Guangzhou, you will have to book a ticket online in advance a ferry ticket from Shenzhen Shekou ferry terminal to Macau through TurboJet ferry website. When you book your ticket, you will receive an e-confirmation in your email. You will print out that e-confirmation and bring it with you. It will be your proof that you will be in transit. Also, you will need this e-confirmation to collect your real paper ticket at Shenzhen Shekou ferry port.

This is all fairly easy because you can easily reach Shenzhen Shekou port by taking a train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen and from a railway station in Shenzhen by metro to Shekou port. Please, keep in mind that you will have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.
