About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

144 pass visa

I have booked flights from London Hong Kong Xiamen
Return flights Xiamen Hong Kong London.
Is this eligible.
No direct flight to Xiamen from anywhere in Europe

It is untrue to say that there is "no direct flight to Xiamen from anywhere in Europe", because you can definitely fly non-stop from Amsterdam. It would be easy to construct a valid route using KLM/XiamenAir.

Unfortunately, this is not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme. The reason is here:

Hong Kong - Xiamen - Hong Kong

As you can see, you have the same country from both sides of your Chinese destination. Anyway, the rule says that only the immediate points matter, so if you depart to Xiamen from Hong Kong, you have to find a third country to be eligible. I suggest you Macau. For example:

Hong Kong - Xiamen - Macau

You can easily return from Macau to Hong Kong and to continue your journey.

Anyway, if you want to retain your original itinerary, you will have to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.
