what are the requirement to invite my Boyfriend to china?

we both are Tunisian Holder nationality, and i am currently working in china and willing to invite my boyfriend for a visit. What are the requirements he needs to apply for visa? i tried so many times calling the embassy but no answer.

He needs to submit the following documents to the embassy, including a passport valid for at least six months, a completed application form attached with a recent photo, an invitation letter from you, and a copy of your residence permit in China.
