Traveling with a minor from the us with a layover in Shanghai 12hrs

In nov I will be having a layover flight in Shanghai, china for 12hrs with my 4year old daughter. Our final destination is Phuket, Thailand. I was told in the US I dont need any documentation from her dad too travel with her outside the us. But I was told too check your data base and see if my stop in your country requires anything. We're meeting her dad in Thailand so he is aware n is approving this trip he is a US citizen working overseas but taking a trip too Thailand too meet us for vacation. So my question is I'm not leaving the airport at all I'm going too just stay there for my flight layover. Is there any special requirements that I need too prove she has permission from her dad to travel?

Thanks you,

As I know, you don't need to have any special requirements. According to your travel route, you are eligible for the 24 hours visa free policy.
